MY STORY
Growing up in Oxnard, California, I dove into swimming at aged 7 and quickly found a second home at my local swim club. I swam competitively through high school and continued my journey through college, where I also enjoyed teaching kids at a swim club for five years.
~beyond the pool~ I’m passionate about cooking and baking, always on the lookout for new recipes to try. I love exploring different places and cultures, blending my love for adventure with my culinary curiosity. Whether in the water or the kitchen, I’m driven by a spirit of discovery and a love for helping others grow.

EXPERIENCE
swimming teacher
Red Cross Swim Instructor (summer program), Oxnard, CALIFORNIA, JUN 2o13 - AUG 2o15
My role was all about teaching kids how to swim safely and confidently while fostering a love for the water. I worked with children of various ages and skill levels, focusing on water safety, swimming techniques, and building their confidence. My day-to-day involved demonstrating proper strokes, leading fun and engaging lessons, and providing one-on-one support when needed. I also monitored their progress, encouraged them to set and achieve goals, and maintained a safe and welcoming environment for all my students. It was incredibly rewarding to see their skills grow and their excitement for swimming flourish.
assistant coach
Channel Islands Aquatics, Oxnard, CALIFORNIA, AUG 2o13 - AUG 2o2o
My journey came full circle. I grew up swimming with the club, where I developed my skills and passion for the sport. When I entered high school and shifted my focus to high school sports, I was honored to be asked to return as a coach for the younger group (ages 8-13). In this role, I helped guide the next generation of swimmers, teaching them foundational techniques and fostering their love for swimming. I focused on creating a positive and encouraging environment, helping each swimmer build their confidence and reach their potential. It was a rewarding experience to give back to the team that had such a significant impact on my life.
assistant coach
Buenaventura Swim Club, Ventura, CALIFORNIA, AUG 2o2o - AUG 2o21
I had the opportunity to work with a talented group of young swimmers (ages 4-8), helping them refine their techniques and improve their performance. My responsibilities included designing and leading practice sessions, providing individual feedback, and fostering a supportive and competitive environment. I also worked closely with the head coach to ensure every swimmer had the tools and encouragement to achieve their goals.
